Between the 18th May and 18th June 2020, it’s National Smile Month.
During this month, we like to learn what makes you smile, and to raise awareness of good oral hygiene and health.
Usually, we would be doing this around the practice with our big cardboard smilies! But, as we’re closed due to the dreaded virus, social media will have to do!
Who runs National Smile Month?
The Oral Health Foundation was formed in 1971 and is one of the World’s leading independent oral health charities. It is headquartered in the United Kingdom and aims to help the public improve their oral health and hygiene through a range of activities run under the name of the Oral Health Foundation.
If you would like to donate towards the Oral Health Foundation, you can do so via their website https://www.dentalhealth.org/
Take a look at the below infographics to make sure you’re keeping your mouth healthy during National Smile Month, and beyond!
Dont’ forget, good oral health habits are formed at a young age. Teaching kids how to look after their teeth will form a good relationship with their oral health, and hopefully keep their teeth and gums healthy for life.
www.nationasmilemonth.org is full of good ideas and activities for the whole family, from the Sugar Swap Challenge, to the Dental Buddy Home Schooling Activity Pack, which is available for all ages.Back to Blog
Due to the current Coronavirus outbreak, the practice is currently closed to all non-essential and routine treatments.
However, we are now taking the first steps towards reopening. We have many changes to implement before this can happen, but we hope to open our doors soon. Please follow us on Facebook for the most up to date information.
